Italian manufacturer specializes in chic and sleek creations, but this time they went the natural route, and surprisingly enough it turned out as chic as usual. We’re, of course, talking about the brand’s FLY collection, which includes this oak kitchen with an island.
Its minimal, polished appearance is just what a contemporary cook room needs. Partially glossed, it comes with a stainless steel hood and minimalist built-in tech.
FLY is proof that natural doesn’t have to look ascetic or boring. Glossy cabinets here add a luxurious touch to the massive oak kitchen island, and invite semi-matte metallic accents to complete the picture. Small-sized upper cabinets make for an airier look with half of them open for display storage.
Half of the kitchen is built into a wall together with the tech to leave more space for the storage-friendly kitchen island that can house it all. It also features a beveled countertop into which a hot plate and sink were incorporated.
Finally, built-in lighting gently glows in the kitchen’s polished surfaces, and accentuates its best features. Thankfully, the polish looks matte enough to prevent the cheap glare from the cabinet doors.
The wood block-style stools enhance the natural feel of the oak kitchen, but there is no need for additional accessories. Neutral can often be perceived as boring, but FLY is neither that nor is it dramatic. Just a functional layout equipped with essentials, with a touch of luxe. As it often is, there is a number of finishes you can choose from, but we think a greige color and a semi-glossy finish here work well enough.
