This dream holiday home has a loft with glass ceiling – perfect for star gazing. The holiday home’s renovation and extension was designed by Marc Koehler Architects of Amsterdam. The house located on Schiermonnikoog Island, one of the West Frisian Islands and the site of the Netherlands’ first national park. The natural surroundings provide a backdrop of incredible views. And the glass walls open to a stunning vista in every direction. The split-level concept adds extra volume while maintaining the original profile. The style was loosely based on California and Dutch post-war bungalow architecture. This house was built for easy living -and for enjoying the rugged island vistas and views. Mission accomplished – in spades.
