Christian Werner through Leolux, created Oscar to be both prim with its exquisite piping details, and casual with its simple profile, but above all to be a stylish addition in any home. The downy soft nonchalance of Oscar’s covering is as inviting as any warm blanket and the soft armrests encourage you either sit back or lie down and be pampered. Available in both 2.5 and 3 seat sections, it is available in a wide array of fabric, leather or Alcantara, with matching or contrasting piping. The legs of Oscar come in the standard polished aluminum or the optional lacquer color choices. The seats have an optional height of +2cm and a matching footstool fitted with castors is also available. I personally am loving this sectional combination of Manganese Blue upholstery and legs with orange piping.
For homes that are wrapped in an all white scheme, or various shades of beige or grey, choosing a sofa in a bold color – such as this version of Oscar in a stunning pale violet with matching piping and standard polished aluminum legs – is a great way to introduce personality. The pop of a strong color, if not overdone, can bring life into any space. The addition of pillows in additional contrasting colors is an easy way to formulate a color palette of 3 to 4 different shades that randomly pop up throughout a residence for a cohesive overall color story.
If colour is already present in your home a more neutral choice can bring a moment of calm into the space. Here, Oscar is featured in a pale grey, allowing the cayenne shades of surrounding accent pieces to dominate. While Oscar is upholstered in a pale grey, its legs pick up on the Cayenne hue through the optional lacquer color finishes.
The leather versions of Oscar have a slightly more tailored appearance then the upholstered versions. Here cinnamon leather is the perfect foil to an ultramarine blue backdrop and both hues are picked up in the area rug and the polished aluminum repeats the chrome sheen on the accent chair. Aside from being the perfect color statement, the leather version is easy to clean with a simple wipe down from a damp cloth, making accidents with red wine or milk a nonissue. Since I love the easy maintenance of leather sofas this Leolux Oscar is the choice for me.
