La Perla Del Mediterraneo by Spainville is a three level home full of geometric shapes and voids all coming together to create a façade of intricate layers for both sun, shade and air circulation. The home is spread over three floors. On the entrance level, there is the two-car garage, 3 bedrooms, each with their own bathroom and a covered terrace and garden. One floor up is the living room complete with fireplace and a modern Santos kitchen. Two Japanese gardens overlook this second level and just outside the social zone is a terrace that leads to the pool. This second level is accessed by an elevator or by stairs, as is the third level. The third level is home to the master suite with its spacious bedroom, extra large dressing room and a bathroom that overlooks the sea.

The social volume features a wall of glazing that opens up to a deep terrace complete with an outdoor lounge area sheltered by a concrete pergola. A second concrete pergola helps frame out the main access to the terrace. The various levels – both horizontal and vertical – to the facade’s geometry create a beautiful backdrop to the stunning panoramic vistas and if that is not enough, the infinity pool extends at right angles to the terrace layering in its shimmering reflections against the concrete canvas.

The outdoor lounge area is large enough to accommodate both a sitting and a dining area. Both zones are furnished with a singular design of seating and tables consisting of a white framework to match the concrete and a blue grey upholstery to compliment the views.

The pergola above the outdoor lounge area is a gridwork of open beams that allows the sunlight to pass through while at the same time providing shade.

The pergola over the main entrance to the terrace is supported by a concrete post and beam structure that defines the edges between a more private and secluded outdoor zone and a wide open one.

While the views of the sea and mountainside are beautiful, the view of the home is just as stunning. All the various shapes and voids create fluidity to the home’s profile via the light and shadow patterns.

Of course, when you are on the terrace, it’s the commanding views of the sea that are most impressive.

With the coastline as visible as the sea, there is always something interesting to look at.

The views are not limited to the second level terrace and pool. Stairs on the side of the residence travel up to a rooftop deck, and from here there are vistas in every direction.
