Chicago’s has done a marvelous job converting this old church into a modern wonder. It was a challenging project that offered an incredible opportunity for creative architectural design. The ceilings are 25ft high with exposed beams. They designed a floating steel staircase with a glass rail system to keep the open, airy feeling. They added a garage and a roof top deck. And left the beautiful parts of course, like the exposed timber in the ceiling. And all those stained glass windows. Are they not to die for? We love the old brick walls. And the contemporary fireplace is stunning. And we can’t forget the kids – it’s even got an indoor climbing wall. One surprise after another in this old church makeover. And we think living here would indeed be a religious experience!
