This modular, movable home was first conceived in 2006 for the CAUE 72 competition Petites Machines à Habiter, and is set for stardom with its exhibition this summer at the Festival Estuaire 2009 in Nantes, France. Its two-part construction means easy assembly, and is described by OLGGA as, “A poetic shelter; a ‘folie’ that merges low-tech and hi-tech.” The exterior appears as a stack of logs, raw and rustic, with walls of glass at either end. Interiors are simple, “smooth and stripped down as to contrast with the traditional look of the external log cladding,” according to the architects.”
