We’re in the mood to share some eye candy – a modern Nordic style apartment with fun quirky elements. When the owners first moved in, the house needed a lot of work. But they were desperate to live in the country and they saw its potential. This move has proved to the owners that living with less is in fact more. Due to a tendency to be disorganized, the owners chose to go the minimal route and live with only what is necessary and what they truly love. This way they can also enjoy the beauty of living in an open plan. The home is mainly dressed in white and combined with the furniture choices, the space developed a lovely modern Nordic feel. Fun, colorful patterns from the upholstery, carpets and accessories give the space a splash of personality and a slightly fun, quirky quality. We are loving the exposed wooden beams and the brick/wood wall in the kitchen. The stairs are sort of enclosed within a nook equipped with an extra mini step for ease of use. This is a very fun, unique detail showing that the owners adapted to their space and respected its oddities. The result is a very cozy place they love and call home. We love it too.
