Italian Home Architecture – Contemporary Urban Design

With a name that literally means “wind” in Italian, Vento House by mzc archittetura is as elegant and airy as its name suggests. Located in the city of Trevisto, this outstanding example of Italian home architecture is a lesson in how to pull off “eclectic” with elegance. Standing in-line with a block of row houses, this modern, minimalist facade is dotted with windows that overlook their nearby neighbors. Natural sunlight bathes the open concept interior, bouncing off the white walls to reveal unique intricacies like the home’s grainy natural wood floors, painted wood ceilings, and a striking staircase that, if it not for the laws of gravity, you could climb from above and below. A painted gray-brick wall doesn’t quite reach the roof – making for an interesting view which you can appreciate form the bedroom loft. The whole house has a trendy warehouse-studio flavor, with an authenticity that you can only find in a city like this.
