Contemporary Polish Home Uses Texture and Color as Accents
designed this contemporary Polish home last year, proving that ascetic minimalism can, too, look stylish and cool. It’s not to say that the interior looks completely barebones-y, but there’s definitely less texture and detail to most things.
A predominantly white color scheme looks pretty sterile at places, but it comes in contrast with dark furnishings and design elements like a double-sided fireplace. Light wood softens up the living room and a two-toned kitchen.
The living room rug, dining chairs, and perforations in the kitchen storage closet door make up the details of the largely minimal main room that boasts an open layout.
Those decorative perforations echo throughout the house, giving the eyes something to hold on to.
While the main spaces are simple and neutral, the kids room and bathroom get a real color treatment. Bright orange and blue color sizable elements in the bedroom, while orange accents perk up the bathroom.
Thanks to simplicity of the furnishings the home looks positively mid-century modern. Only those unique little additions add some contemporaneity to it. What do you think?
